Redefining Success—One Step at a Time

Somewhere along the way, many nurse practitioners absorbed a dangerous myth:
That success has to be big, loud, and immediate.
We see it on social media; people announcing their new practices, publishing books, winning awards. And while those achievements are worth celebrating, they can also make you feel like you’re behind.
Like you’re not doing enough. Like you should be taking massive action every day.
But here’s what I’ve learned after years of mentoring NPs and building my own business:
Sustainable success isn’t built on giant leaps. It’s built on consistent micro-leaps.
The tiny steps you take when no one’s watching. The quiet decisions to invest in yourself, even when it feels uncomfortable. The commitment to keep going when it would be easier to stay safe.
Redefining success means giving yourself permission to grow gradually, instead of expecting overnight transformation.
It means celebrating the email you sent. The conversation you started. The first imperfect offer you shared.
When you stack those small moves over time, you create impact bigger than any single leap could ever deliver.
So today, I invite you to ask yourself: What would it look like to redefine success on your terms?
To let go of the pressure to prove and instead focus on progress.
Small moves. Big impact. That’s how you build a career and a life that feels true to you.
If you’re ready to start, I’m here to support you.
