In healthcare, many NPs are taught to be humble. To keep their heads down and let their work speak for itself.

But here’s the reality: If you want to build influence, grow a practice, or drive change you have to be visible.

Visibility isn’t about ego. It’s about impact. It’s about leadership

Why Visibility Matters

When you share your knowledge and perspective, you: ✅ Build trust with your community. ✅ Position yourself as a leader in your field. ✅ Inspire other clinicians to step up.

And yes, you open doors for yourself new opportunities, collaborations, and growth.

I’ve worked with so many NPs who were hesitant to speak up, fearing they’d look self-promotional. But the truth is, your voice is needed.

How to Start Showing Up

Visibility doesn’t have to mean shouting from the rooftops. It can look like:

  • Posting a tip or story on LinkedIn.

  • Presenting at a professional meeting.

  • Writing an article for your association’s newsletter.

  • Sharing your journey to entrepreneurship.

Every time you share your expertise, you normalize NP leadership and strengthen our collective voice.

A Mindset Shift

Instead of asking, “Who am I to share this?” Ask, “Who might benefit from hearing this today?”

Visibility is service. And your story matters more than you realize.

If you’re ready to craft a visibility strategy that feels authentic, I’d love to help you get started.
